 Our Team In Training® Story

Cancer is a terrible disease that has touched almost all of our lives. It is especially tragic when, like leukemia and lymphoma, it tends to strike young people in the prime of their lives.

This disease hits especially close to home for Databound as Steve Capezzuti, one of the original founding partners of Databound Solutions was first diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease in 1986, at the age of 15. After several battles, remissions, and re-occurrences, Steve lost the fight in the spring of 2004, but his leadership, determination, resourcefulness, and love for life remain an inspiration to all of us at Databound.

Shortly after Steve's bone marrow transplant in 2003, Angela Martin, wife of Paul Martin, the Vice President of Databound Healthcare Solutions, was inspired to join Team In Training® to help raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society while training for the 2003 Walt Disney World Triathlon. She selected Steve, as well as her husband's father, Paul Martin Sr., who has has been living in remission from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma for 5 years now, as her honored teammates. In 2006, Angela raised funds and ran in the 2006 Marine Core Marathon in Washington D.C. with Team In Training®.

Now, Angela is once again training with Team In Training®.  Please visit her fundraising page to learn more or to make a donation.

Also, in honor and memory of Steve Capezzuti, Databound Healthcare Solutions is a 2010 corporate sponsor of Team In Training®.
