EMUE is a powerful tool that saves time and money by automating routine mainframe tasks. EMUE runs scripts that upload data to and download data from Siemens Medical Health Services MedSeries4®, SIGNATURE® and INVISION® applications. EMUE greatly improves on the capabilties of the commonly used OLIE™ tool provided by Siemens for these applications. In fact, EMUE utilizes a language called EMUEScript, which is a superset of the script language used by OLIE™. This means that Siemens SIGNATURE® and INVISION® users can increase their productivity while leveraging their existing OLIE™ scripts and expertise, and also that of the Siemens user community.
What if I don't already use OLIE?
EMUE provides tremendous power in an easy to use enviornment that is great for learning how to write scripts. Syntax highlighting and built-in help ease the learning curve required to become familiar with scripting and the built-in parser will check the script for syntax mistakes. The integrated debugger allows the user to test each line of code as he writes it. If the line runs as expected, then the user can move on to the next line. If the behavior is unexpected, then the line of code can be changed and retested. In addition, new users can leverage the FREE OLIE/EMUE Script Library to get ideas and even use scripts written by other users.
